After breakfast, depart Arusha / Moshi for a full-day game drive inside Tarangire National Park. The Tarangire River meanders through the park and attracts large concentrations of wildlife – elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and many species of colorful birds.

Day 3-4Serengeti National Park

Serengeti is the oldest and most visited national park in Tanzania; it is famous for the annual great wildebeest migration, breathtaking game viewing, stunning landscapes, and unforgettable sunsets. The Serengeti is home to large grazers, predators, over 500 bird species, and other mammals and reptiles.

While in the Serengeti, you will feel like you have all the space in the world; the plains stretch across the horizon, and most times, you feel like it is only you, the great herds, the big cats of Africa-leopards, cheetahs, and lions.

Optional activities: Balloon Safari ( $590/person).

Dinner and overnight stay – at a lodge or camp in the Serengeti.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 5Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart from Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater; you will reach the Ngorongoro Crater around noon for a picnic lunch. After lunch, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive.

The Ngorongoro Crater has the highest density of wildlife in Africa -the crater is home to approximately 30,000 animals at any time. Ngorongoro Crater offers the best chance of seeing the big five – lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalos within a few hours of entering the crater floor.

Later in the late afternoon, drive out of the Ngorongoro Crater for dinner and overnight stay at a lodge on the crater rim.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
