2 Days Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater Safari

In the morning, depart Arusha / Moshi and drive for about 2.5 hours to Lake Manyara. Enjoy a full-day game drive inside Lake Manyara National Park.

The park is located under the western escapement of the great rift valley and is famous for tree-climbing lions, large herds of elephants, and millions of flamingos.

Lake Manyara is a scenic gem; it was once described by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”.

Late in the afternoon, drive out of the park for dinner and overnight in Karatu.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater has the highest density of wildlife in Africa -the crater is home to approximately 30,000 animals at any time.

Ngorongoro Crater offers the best chance of seeing the big five – lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalos within a few hours of entering the crater floor. The bull elephants that reside inside the crater have huge tusks due to the rich mineral content found in its soil.

Later in the late afternoon, drive back to Arusha / Moshi to catch your flight home.
